College volleyball is right around the corner, which means the Florida Gators are ranked among the nation’s elite. With the release of Monday’s preseason AVCA Poll, the Gators find themselves in the familiar position of being ranked inside the top-15.

Florida is ranked No. 15 in the poll, the second highest of any SEC team (Kentucky, 11). This marks the 31st straight year UF is ranked in the top-15 to open the season. The streak is the third longest in the nation, trailing only Nebraska (active) and Stanford.

In 2021, Florida finished 22-9 and 14-4 in SEC play. The Gators advanced to the Regional Final of the NCAA tournament for the 18th time in program history.

Florida opens the 2022 campaign with the Gators Invitational where they will face North Florida, East Tennessee State, and Virginia over opening weekend, August 26-27.
