
Following a 3-0 defeat to UCF in their season opener, the Florida Gators earned the first win of the 2022 campaign in DeLand against the Stetson Hatters Sunday evening.
The 3-0 win is the first win for new head coach Samantha Bohon after she took over in July.

A pair of Gators picked up their first collegiate goals in the 2-0 win. Junior defender Anna Deleon capitalized in the 24th minute to put the Gators on top
Redshirt freshman Sophie White added a tally early in the second half (49th minute) and Alivia Gonzalez capped a feed from Lauren McCloskey in the 77th minute to put the Gators ahead 3-0 and complete the scoring.
For the entirety of the match, Florida dominated possession taking twenty eight shots while the Hatters managed just 7.
The Gators will travel to Austin, Texas for a pair of matches beginning Thursday. The first game will see UF face Baylor while the Gators will play Texas on Sunday.
