Delbrey yielded just one run via a two-out solo shot in the bottom of the seventh inning. Following the non-conference win, the Gators improve to 23-5 overall (.821) and maintain a perfect 5-0 away record.
Florida head coach Tim Walton made some lineup adjustments as shortstop Skylar Wallace led off in the absence of outfielder Kendra Falby. Wallace extended her hit streak to six games with a double in the top of the fifth before she and center fielder Katie Kistler scored on second baseman Reagan Walsh’s two-out double down the left-field line.
An inning later, Florida scored a pair of insurance runs to extend its lead to 4-0. Freshman designated player Olivia Gigante hit a leadoff double into the right-center gap before right fielder Pal Egan walked to put two runners aboard. Sophomore catcher Sam Roe laid down a sacrifice bunt to advance the baserunners into scoring position with only one out for freshman left fielder Kaila Pollard. On a full count, Pollard poked a two-run single into right-center.
