LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL- The Florida Gators men’s basketball team advanced to the semifinals of the Advocare Invitational after defeating the Seton Hall Pirates Thursday night.
Florida was led by KeVaughn Allen (21 points) and Canyon Barry (20 points) and improves to 5-0 on the season. The Gators depth was on display, as Florida had three key players foul out: Kasey Hill, Chris Chiozza, and Devin Robinson. Florida was able to close the game by knocking down six of eight free thows.
Khadeen Carrington led all players with 28 points for the Pirates while Myles Powell added 16. Seton Hall suffered their first loss of the season, and will face Quinnipiac in a consolation game.
Florida advances to play #11 Gonzaga Friday night at 9:30 PM. Both Seton Hall and Florida received points in last week’s Top-25 poll.
