The three-star talent had been committed to Dan Mullen’s program since July 2018, but backed off the pledge in February. Richardson’s decommittment coincided with Florida’s flirtations with Jacksonville QB Carson Beck, who later committed to Georgia.
Richardson holds offers from some of the heavyweights of college football, including Michigan, Penn State, and Georgia.
The 247 Composite Rankings has Richardson tabbed as the #12 ranked dual-threat QB in the 2020 recruiting cycle.
Florida moves to the #5 recruiting class in the country after Richardson’s commitment. The Gators now have eight pledges in the 2020 class.
Florida will hold their annual spring game next Saturday, April 13, where many of the top prospects will be in attendance.
