The Peach State native is the nation’s No. 153 prospect and No. 20 DL in the 2023 recruiting cycle, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
Florida LB coach Mike Peterson led the charge in Searcy’s recruitment to UF. The Gators beat out Florida State, Clemson, Georgia and more.
The talented prospect spent the month of June officially visiting Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, and South Carolina before making his commitment.
Searcy is the ninth commitment in Florida’s 2023 class. He is the third defensive lineman to pledge to Florida, thus far.
