
The Florida Gators continued their hot streak on the recruiting trail Thursday, getting one of the nation’s top signal callers to flip his commitment to UF.
Four-star prospect Marcus Stokes announced the flip on social media with the accompanying statement, “my recruitment is completely shut down.”

Stokes hails from Ponte Vedra, FL and attends Nease High. The 6’2, 185 lb prospect committed to Penn State in April but received an offer after attending a camp at UF in June.
Stokes’ stock rose significantly after a superb junior campaign where he accumulated over 3,000 total yards of offense and 22 passing touchdowns.
Per the 247Sports composite rankings, Stokes is the nation’s No. 397 overall prospect and No. 22 quarterback in the 2023 class.
Stokes becomes the eleventh commitment in Florida’s 2023 recruiting class that now ranks No. 26 in the nation according to 247Sports.
